About Me

Araya came into HAWS last September 2017. She was adopted out but returned with owners not having the patience or knowledge on training a new dog.... Araya was adopted out as a pup and returned two weeks as not fitting in and having behaviour problems... However, we have absolutely no evidence of that and in fact find her to be a lovely, gentle girl, subservient and incredibly affectionate. She is very focused on humans and is a dog that wants to please. It could be that new owners also do not educate their children on how to be around a pup or new dog and to tease or play too roughly so that the only recourse the poor dog has is to react to protect itself. Often these returned animals flourish with no problems in a new home. So lets give 8 month old teenager ARAYA another chance at a loving home. We have included a photo of her gentle mother Micha here who was adopted out earlier, and Araya as a pup... ARAYA is a gorgeous "brown dog" Africanis X.  Wer will reasses Araya to check on her progresive behaviour.
